WLACC Facts

We were established in 1929.

In 1985 we became the Willmar AREA Chamber of Commerce.

In 2001 we became the Willmar LAKES Area Chamber of Commerce.

Our purpose is to advance the commercial, industrial, agricultural, civic, educational and general interest of the Willmar trade area.

Our mission is to advocate and promote the area-wide business community.

Our objectives: To create a spirit of cooperation in Kandiyohi County; To actively represent our members' interests; To provide leadership by developing partnerships; To plan and develop strategies for our success.

We are financed through membership investment and creative fund raising efforts.

We serve the communities of Kandiyohi County.

Any interested business or individual may join.

We have over 585 members.

We have five working committees.

We are associated with the Willmar Lakes Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Mid-Minnesota Builder's Exchange.

We are partners with the Kandiyohi County and City of Willmar Economic Development Commission, Kandiyohi County Tourism, Main Street Willmar, Community Marketing Coalition and other community organizations.
